Police are investigating a hacking scandal that finds a group of celebrities and political figures targeted, TMZ reports. A hacker has allegedly obtained financial information on the victims, posting it online.
The hacker has revealed the social security numbers, mortgage amounts, credit card information, car loan accounts, and banking details of many of the victims on a website. Reportedly targeted in the hacking are Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Paris Hilton, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, F.B.I. Director Robert Mueller, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, and Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck.
While most of the names listed have been compromised, not a lot of information was obtained about Biden or Clinton. The LAPD has launched an investigation into the hacking.
