Article: The Atlanta Hawks Broke KOBE! Was it a dirty play?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/files/2013/03/bryant3.jpgKobe sprained his left ankle severely Wednesday night, in a time when his super human athleticism was needed most. Kobe's shot would have tied the game and as usual put the Lakers in a position to win when Atlanta Hawks Dahntay Jones stepped forward to closely defend the shot.“First and foremost, I think the officials really need to protect shooters,” Bryant said. “Defensive players, you can contest shots, but you can’t walk underneath players. It’s just a very, very dangerous play, especially if I’m fading away. There’s no rhyme or reason why I should come down anywhere near somebody’s foot.” Kobe believes he landed on Jones foot after the shot and that was the cause of his injury. A twitter debate has sprung out around the issue Kobe saying it was a cheap shot and Jones saying it was fair game. Regardless, the Lakers tack on another loss and even worse lose another superstar. Kobe's injury is said to put him out indefinitely that could be weeks, a few games, or until the seasons end. We all know Kobe will do whatever he can to get back in the game and compete. I'm betting we'll see him hobbling around on crutches in the fourth quarter trying to set a pick if he feels its what the team needs. At this point, all we can do is wait.
